Membership
- Please note we currently have a waiting list for new members without shooting experience. If you wish to be added to the waiting list please get in touch using the link below. Use the same link below if you already have shooting experience and would like to join.
Members Club
- Please note we are a private members club and are not open to the public. We do not offer Experience Packages. Please be aware we are solely focused on competitive full bore target rifle and F-class shooting.
Our Facilities
- We have a club house on Altcar ranges near Hightown, Liverpool and shoot on most Sunday afternoons throughout the year, where we hold target rifle and F-Class club competitions at 300, 500 and 600 yard targets. Occasionally, there is the opportunity to shoot out to 1000 yards.
Training
- For newcomers to the sport, you will be taught the safe handling of firearms and progress, with those more experienced, to attain the level of safety that is required to apply for the NRA (National Rifle Association) SCC (Shooter Certification Card) that allows you to shoot unsupervised on Altcar ranges.

Southport & District Rifle Club use the facilities of the NWRFCA (North West Reserve Forces and Cadet Association) at Altcar ranges and as such we are subject to their regulations and must supply visitor names to the security office prior to any visit, so why not send us a message and we can give further details on membership, visiting etc and answer any questions on your specific needs.
